The Course is spread over four mandatory units:
- Unit 1: Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry
- Unit 2: Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor in the Private Security Industry
- Unit 3: Application of conflict management in the private security industry
- Unit 4: Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry
SIA Door Supervisor Course in Birmingham is delivered via blended learning through a blend of self-study and face-to-face learning.
Self-Study consists of two parts:
- Part 1: Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry
You are required to complete the PDF Activity Sheet which will be sent to you via email. This activity sheet is designed to reinforce key concepts and facilitate a deeper understanding of the course material. During face-to-face sessions, our experienced instructors will provide further insights on the topic.
- Part 2: Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry
Through the ACT e-learning platform. You will engage with interactive online modules that cover various aspects of terror threat awareness.
The e-learning content is structured to provide a thorough understanding of the subject matter, with assessments to gauge your progress. Face-to-face learning sessions will complement the e-learning, allowing for discussion, clarification, and hands-on practice.
Remember to prepare the following documents before your arrival at our training center:
- One (1) document from Group A
- Two (2) documents from Group B
Ensuring you have the correct identification documents ready in advance is essential to expedite your entry on the course.
You can reschedule your course free of charge if you notify us at least 72 hours in advance.
If you arrive to the course and you do not meet our course entry requirements (no ID or no completed self-study) we have the right to refuse your entry to the course.
This will result in the £80 reschedule fee and you will be rescheduled for the next available dates.
To pass the SIA Door Supervisor course in Birmingham you will have to sit four multiple choice question e-assessments and participate in various physical assessments.
The Multiple Choice Theory exams are administered in the form of e-assessments:
- For Unite 1 – Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry you will be expected to answer 72 multiple choice questions with a duration of 1 hour 50 minutes. Pass mark 70%.
- For Unit 2—Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor in the Private Security Industry , you will be expected to answer 50 multiple-choice questions, each lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes. Pass mark 70%.
- For Unit 3—Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry , you will be expected to answer 20 multiple-choice questions in 30 minutes. Pass mark 70%.
For Unit 4 – Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry , you will be expected to answer 30 multiple choice questions with a duration of 45 minutes. Pass mark 80%.
Our “No Pass – No Retake Fee” policy ensures that there is no charge for 2 retakes if you do not pass.
With a pass rate of over 95%, rest assured that all the exam material is covered in the course, and our experienced trainers will thoroughly prepare you for success in the tests.
Exam results will be made available on the same day.

- Registration for the course is not guaranteed until a completed registration form and payment (deposit) have been received. The T4E staff will confirm placement in the course via E-mail.

- Our courses are non-refundable 24 hours after booking. However, if you inform us within 24 hours of booking of your intention to cancel, you can receive a full refund, and you will be refunded the amount paid for the course.
- Courses cancelled after 24 hours of booking will not be eligible for a refund.

If you’re funding your studies yourself, then we have two payment options available, detailed below:
- Payment in Full: If your budget allows, you have the option to pay in full before the course start date. The course fee of £259 includes examination fees and immediate access to online learning materials. This way, you can focus on your studies without any additional financial concerns and delays.
- Deposit Payment: To reserve and guarantee your place on the course, you will need to pay a £ 50 deposit fee and the remaining balance of £209 once you attend the first day of the course.
